Influencers Generating Surge of Support for Both Advancement Project Offices

06.12.20

Advancement Project California offers our sister National Office huge congratulations as their 20 years of working to dismantle structural racism is being recognized across the country. A recent Los Angeles Times article quoted the National Office about the tremendous wave of support they have seen from celebrities, athletes, and other influencers in the wake of George Floyd’s murder and the subsequent protests.

We are so proud to be affiliated with their work for police-free schools and structural change in policing. And especially proud of their fearless leader Judith Browne Dianis, who is Executive Director of the National Office. We encourage you to learn more about the National Office and Judith – we need more leaders like her in moments like this!

As you learn more and want to share about both the National and California offices’ work, please remember to reference and use the correct website and social media handles so folks can quickly and easily find us to support, donate, and partner.

The California Office is very proud to announce that Governor Newsom has picked us along with The Marshall Project and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund as organizations to support at this time. To join this effort, and help meet the goal of $100,000 raised for racial justice, click here. This and some local press coverage have created a modest surge in donations and support, for which we are very grateful. Be assured that the funds will be used carefully and thoughtfully to further our racial equity work.

Advancement Project California stands in solidarity with protestors demanding justice for Black lives and accountability for police departments across the nation. Join us in showing that Black lives matter by donating to a Black-led and Black serving organization today.

Thank you for your partnership and support!
