Brings together community partners to build an equitable California
Catalyst California’s Coalitions Department brings together community-based organizations and statewide partners to aggregate political power, strengthen trusted relationships, and align our strategic insights to create a more equitable California. We convene partnerships across communities and issue areas to ensure that our policy, data, and budget expertise support transformative campaigns. When racial and economic inequity threatens overlooked communities, we support organizations coming together and build the power and resources they need to fight back.

We Are California
California is a unique state of opportunity, ingenuity, and forward-thinking. But corporate interests and authoritarian forces are trying to halt our progress. That's why Catalyst California provides backbone support to We Are California, a multiracial, multigenerational, multi-issue movement to create the California we dream of.
California Democracy Partnership
As the 2026 midterm elections approach, we take collective action to address real threats of voter intimidation, election subversion, historically low voter turnout, and the assault on voting rights by the federal administration and the Supreme Court. We are co-convenors of the California Democracy Partnership, which brings together racial justice, labor, and community organizations to strengthen California's democracy.
