Anisha Hingorani is the Associate Director of the Equity in Community Investments team at Catalyst California. Since 2017, she has worked with community-based coalitions in Los Angeles County, Fresno, and Bakersfield to secure health-promoting public investments that increase access to public transportation, affordable housing, open space, and complete streets infrastructure in historically disinvested neighborhoods. In 2021, Anisha launched the organization’s first-ever train-the-trainer program Funding Racial Justice: Budget Advocacy Training for Community Power, which equips California-based organizers and advocates with budget advocacy and analysis tools to advance local racial justice campaigns and secure care-based investments. Anisha currently serves on the Los Angeles County Community Prevention and Population Health Task Force and previously worked in policy & program management roles at Multicultural Communities for Mobility (now People for Mobility Justice) and the Los Angeles Food Policy Council. Anisha holds a master’s degree in public policy from the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy and a bachelor’s degree in peace and conflict studies from the University of California, Berkeley. She is a daughter of Taiwanese and Indian immigrants and grew up in the San Gabriel Valley, where she currently lives with her partner & pit mix, Kylo.
